Code4Thought - R&D Intern (Mar 2021 - Jun 2021)

Throughout my internship in Code4Thought, which was part of my academic studies, I conducted a competitive analysis regarding PyThia, the company's AI advisory tool, and the company's communication strategy. In the context of the last assignment of my internship, I presented my proposals regarding the improvement of the company's AI tool and communication strategy to the management.

IFF/UNIC - Research Assistant (Nov 2021 - Present)

The Institute For the Future (IFF) is an interdisciplinary research Centre at the University of Nicosia (UNIC), aimed at advancing emerging technologies and contributing to their effective application in industry, government and education as well as evaluating their impact on society at large. In my role as a research assistant, I contribute to European Blockchain Observatory & Forum (EUBOF) and the Distributed Ledger Research Center (DLRC) projects and reports.

European Blockchain Observatory and Forum (EUBOF) (Nov 2021 - Present)

A European Commission initiative to accelerate blockchain innovation and the development of the blockchain ecosystem within the EU and so help cement Europe’s position as a global leader in this transformative new technology. As part of my work at the Institute for the Future, I have contributed in EUBOF's thematic and trend reports, which you can find here.

Rosetta Stone- Data Analysis

Measuring the global distribution of skills and studying the relationship between the value of exports of each country and the skills possessed by the workforce in the country.

FEC Elections - Data Analysis

Investigating the FEC elections 2016 data using the pandas library, focused on Hillary R. Clinton's and Donald J. Trump's financial activities conducted during 2015 and 2016 for the needs of their campaigns.

Greek Parliamentary Speeches - Data Science

Using supervised machine learning methods in order to identify the political party a speeker belongs to using data with greek parliamentary speeches.

Airbnb Data - BI & Big Data Analysis

Using the Microsoft SQL Server to create a data cube and generate metrics, as well as the PowerBI tool to create various data visualizations. Moreover, using Python to apply data mining operations, such as categorization, clustering and price forecast.

Teammates - Mobile Friendly UI

Teammates is an online feedback management tool for education. Contributed to an open issue and improved the mobile compatibility of the "Edit Feedback Session" page, while following the instructions given. The contribution was accepted and merged by the TEAMMATES team.

Teammates - Dropdown button

Teammates is an online feedback management tool for education. This time, I opened an issue and cotributed to it. I added a dropdown button for all the recommended actions, improving the UI and UX. The contribution was accepted and merged by the TEAMMATES team.

One of the 108 students who were admitted with writing exams (ranked 104th out of 231 candidates). Awarded for 6 consecutive years by the Hellenic Ministry of Education for my academic performance.

META511: NFTs and the Metaverse (MOOC) (10/2022-03/2023)

Successfully completed the University of Nicosia MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) on "NFTS and the Metaverse" with a 85/100 grade. An open introductory course to NFTs and the Metaverse, delivered on-chain and in the metaverse. The course was taught by UNIC faculty and @punk6529 – a deeply influential thinker on NFTs and the metaverse and one of the largest NFT collectors in the world – along with an incredible array of guest panelists and lecturers.

Introduction to Data Science with Python (01/2023/03/2023)

Successfully completed the University of Michigan course on "Introduction to Data Science with Python" with a 97.75% grade. This course introduced me to the basics of the python programming environment, including fundamental python programming techniques such as lambdas, reading and manipulating csv files, and the numpy library. I also worked on data manipulation and cleaning techniques using the python pandas data science library.

Develop Clustering Models with Azure ML Designer (03/14/2023)

Successfully completed Microsoft's certificate on "Develop Clustering Models with Azure ML Designer" offered at Coursera with a 100/100 grade. Utilized the Azure Machine Learning Designer in order to train a clustering model, evaluate it, assign new data observations to it and publish this predictive service for application use.

eBridge Alliance SPRINT Certificate of Completion (04/2020-10/2020)

Successfully completing the eBridge Alliance SPRINT on the topic of entrepreneurship for wellbeing. Group participation in a global entrepreneurship network with courses from mentors, educators & experts in entrepreneurship and interaction with other EU based startups.
